Randman Design Direct

Q&A

with
Meryl Randman

A website that’s more intuitive, more user-friendly, and built to truly engage your target audience. That’s the kind of site I specialize in, because more clickthroughs = more chances for new business or donations. Simple, right? But trying to find the best web designer/developer to help you step up your business online is not; I understand that. So let me put you at ease about hiring me by addressing some more questions you may have:

Yes!  You can feel safe with me, for a variety of reasons:  I’ve been designing and developing WordPress websites for more than 10 year and am actively involved in the WordPress NYC community as a co-leader. At the same time, I’ve worked as a designer, with a long list of accomplishments under my belt.

Above all, I have an affinity for working with smaller businesses and nonprofits. Being a small entrepreneur myself for many years, I really connect with their challenges and aspirations, and I love contributing to their ROI. An example of that is my contribution to the growth of On Deck, when it was just a small business loan firm; the design work I did for them in a 6-month period contributed to a 50% growth surge in the same period of time. I’ve also succeeded in improving the ROI of bigger organizations, including iconic ones like Martha Stewart, Disney, Vogue, Time Warner Cable, the WildLife Conservation Society, and the American Ballet Theatre.

My roots are not in general advertising; they’re in the kind of promotions that aim for tangible results, like more leads, more orders, more donations, or more participation. Through the years, my work has stirred up a lot of real customer action. And isn’t that what you want for your website?

  • My understanding of how people interact with content and how you can keep them engaged.
  • My design skill to connect the content, for a more cohesive narrative and easy navigation.
  • My attention to customer service. You’ll feel guided all the way. Everything will be explained as we go along and adapted to your specifications.

Here’s a quick look at specifically what will happen when you say “Go.”

STRATEGY PLAN

With the help of a simple creative brief and your mission statement, you and I can devise a core strategy for your website. Key talking points: your goals, your target audience, actions you want your visitors to take, who will provide the text (your copywriter or mine).

SKETCH

To get us moving right away, I’ll sketch out a wireframe (the “bones” of the website pages), showing structure and user flow. You review. Together, we’ll refine, as we consider things like SEO, User Experience, and User Interface.

BRAND STORY

Now for the fun part, as your website comes to life. Your unique brand story will unfold, with content and images that follow your guidelines. Calls-to-action will be given special attention, to boost leads and sales. Content and design elements will be adjusted, for optimal UX between desktop and mobile devices.

LAUNCH

Upon your final approval, the site will be deployed — migrate to your hosting provider and domain. Maintenance training will be supplied, to keep your site secure and running optimally.

FINALLY …

You’ll have a website best positioned to get noticed and get more customers or donors.
